Arista Networks, acting through an affiliate, 5200 Patrick Henry Drive, paid $ 40 million for the office and research building, according to a deed filed with the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office.

Santa Clara-based Arista Networks, which manufactures networking systems and products, leases its existing headquarters to Irvine Co., according to property records.

Arista’s current head office building totals 149,000 square feet, according to Compstak, a commercial property department.

The company has said its lease in Santa Clara is scheduled to expire in 2023, Arista Networks reported in a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
