Arista expands footprint in Silicon Valley with construction contract with Santa Clara – Silicon Valley
SANTA CLARA – Arista Networks has significantly expanded its presence in Silicon Valley with the purchase of an office and research building near the technology company’s headquarters in Santa Clara.
The tech company has purchased a building with a total area of 97,700 square feet located at 5200 Patrick Henry Drive in Santa Clara, according to property documents filed on August 4.
Arista Networks, acting through an affiliate, 5200 Patrick Henry Drive, paid $ 40 million for the office and research building, according to a deed filed with the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office.
The company’s head office at 5453 Great America Parkway is just under a mile away, which is a three-minute drive or 19-minute walk.
Santa Clara-based Arista Networks, which manufactures networking systems and products, leases its existing headquarters to Irvine Co., according to property records.
Arista’s current head office building totals 149,000 square feet, according to Compstak, a commercial property department.
The company has said its lease in Santa Clara is scheduled to expire in 2023, Arista Networks reported in a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
This news organization has requested a comment from Arista Networks regarding the transaction.
The building that Arista Networks has just purchased includes amenities such as a conference room, 28 offices, a coffee bar and a kitchen, according to a brochure prepared by commercial real estate companies CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield.
In the 12-month period ended June 30, Arista Networks made $ 728.6 million on revenue of $ 2.63 billion. For calendar year 2020, Arista $ 634.6 million on revenue of $ 2.32 billion.
