Girl Scouts recruiting for the New Years
Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont (GSCP2P) is currently training troops and recruiting new leaders for the new year of troops this fall. All Kindergarten to Grade 12 girls are invited to join, and dozens of Girl Scout information events are scheduled across western and central North Carolina for interested families to learn. more about the organization and the local troops in their region.
“As girls develop important life skills from year to year as Girl Scouts, our program is much more than that,” said CEO Jennifer Wilcox. “It’s also about discovering new ways to become active members in their communities, bond with friends and gain experiences they will remember for years to come. We want all girls to have the opportunity to experience Girl Scouts and their life changing moments. “
Through STEM activities and outdoor adventure programs, creative arts and impactful service projects, Girl Scouts are a way of life that brings out the best in a girl, even in the most difficult times. And while she’s busy learning entrepreneurship and money management, she also realizes how she can make her world a better place.
The Girl Scout organization is guided largely by adult volunteers and each year GSCP2P relies on parents, caregivers and community members to step up and be the leader in encouraging girls as they select. exciting activities and hands-on projects, try new things and earn badges in a troop setting.
