Holiday Artists Market
As we move into November, the annual Holiday Artists’ Market at the Dennos Museum Center in Traverse City is just around the corner! It takes place on the first weekend of November and offers both art and home-made goods including pottery, jewelry, paintings, and more. It’s the perfect place to shop for unique holiday gifts, while also supporting the Dennos Museum Center with this annual fundraiser.
Harbor Springs Area Historical Society
If you’re interested in learning more about the area’s maritime history, the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society has a few programs coming up in early November that you’ll want to check out. They are running a program on Tall Ships in Lake Michigan on November 9, which brings the historic ships, captains and sailboat crews of Lake Michigan to life, and another on the November Gales on November 11, showcasing these intense weather systems. known to produce winds of 120 miles per hour and waves of 30 feet. Both programs will be presented online via Zoom, and prior registration is required.
